Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the November issue of the Emelegifts.com newsletter, if you are a new subscriber a warm welcome to you!
If you read the last issue you will remember I was about to start work on a large order for 100 custom Christmas cards for a tennis racquet manufacturer – Those are now all finished and posted 10 days ago :)
It was a lot of work with a deadline of "As soon as possible" so now they are finished I can congratulate myself and breathe again!
I love doing custom work but on that scale ideally I would have wanted more warning, especially at Christmas, the busiest time! But I did it, the client was happy so who’s worrying!!
I recently donated two packages of cards and gift tags to be sold at fund raising charity events in England. One event was to raise money for a promotional DVD to inform people about Encephalitis.
I have also been looking for a special Christmas gift for a close friend and finally decided on an angel pin from one of the sites in my link swaps.
Carla will make me a unique angel pin at no extra charge for about $20, very reasonable in my opinion.
My ideas so far have been that the angel is silver with a heart made of gold and wearing a necklace – All things that mean something to me and the recipient.

Other news here… Vangelis the kitten went to the vets and is apparently 3 months old although tiny for his age – That is now changing as he is having chicken meals everyday though! He is no longer shy, quite a mad thing actually who can make anything a toy – These being clothes pegs, plastic pipe, twigs, wool, a box like a tunnel and Sam’s tail! (Sam is Vans Father).

In my opinion there are two kinds of women...... The first will have no problem with spending money, on treating herself to whatever she sees whether its clothes, jewellery or for something she enjoys such as crafts and those other miscellaneous needful things that she must have!
The second doesn’t treat herself very often, if she sees a new perfume she would really like, the most gorgeous pair of earrings or a new winter coat she puts off spending the money saying it would be better spent on the children or for household things - The boring items such as new saucepans, sheets or cutlery!
If your wife or girlfriend is like the second then you can really go to town with her stocking, buying all of the things she would love to have but doesn’t want to spend the money on...... as well as a few necessities which make a fun and novel idea! If your partner is like the first description, well I’m sure she won’t complain about having you buy her even more gifts!!

Nothing new planned for the next month! Although on my list of things to do I would like to set up a “One of a kind cards” section.I am also going to introduce gift vouchers which can either be posted to the recipient or sent via email.
The wedding anniversary cards are still being made, if you remember I am making a card for each anniversary based on the traditional gifts so for the 1st year the gift is ‘’paper’’, on the card you have a paper theme, others include leather, wood, cotton and gold – Haven’t got as far as the gold yet though, that being 50 years!
The birthstone cards are also still in the idea book, still looking for a quality gem chip supplier. What I may have to do is go with 2 different suppliers so I can get exactly what I want! Anyway don’t worry I haven’t forgotten and everything will happen in good time ;)
